Stephen Whitwell – Pastor, Writer, Speaker, and Celebrant. 

A credentialed Elim Church of New Zealand Minister with a background from a farm upbringing, the motor trade and sales, 29 years as a Pastor, Director of Studies/Principal of a Bible School, experience in other work roles, AND, 30 years married have all contributed to a wide range of skills and ministry experience. 

I am currently serving as Associate Pastor at Elim Christian Centre Tauranga, which is an awesome church in the heart of Tauranga.  My role is a busy one, but I love it!  

My “Brief Word” e-newsletter goes out about monthly to equip, guide, and inspire!  It is a short Biblical teaching word of truth and encouragement and is blessing touching and changing lives.  See the Brief Word page for more information and to subscribe. 

I love living in the Bay of Plenty and enjoy good coffee, fine food, my growing family (two great children and eight incredible grandchildren!), travel to anywhere at any time for no reason, studying writing speaking and teaching about anything but mostly about the unsearchable riches of God’s eternal Word, and time spent with my amazing wife Wendy and my incredible family. 

My Blog - Under the Home page - is articles of interest about almost anything; well usually things that I am passionate about! But also there may be just a few lines, a quote, or even a word for the day.  I hope you enjoy!
